There is still time to register to vote in every state in the U.S.

Here’s how.

I need to restate EMPHATICALLY how important it is that you register and vote if you don’t like the way things are. You heard me. REGISTER AND FUCKING VOTE.

As I just stated in a conversation I’m having with Rach/Acidexia/Haywire/whatever she calls herself (she was on here as “acidexia”, but deleted her journal), “What needs to be done is to mobilize voters. To get people to register if they don’t like Bush or don’t like the direction our country’s in, and to get them to vote for the person with the best chance of defeating him, even if he’s far from perfect (to be honest, I think Kerry’s wife would make a better President). The first order of business is to get the people who already agree that things are bad to get off their lazy asses and DO SOMETHING.”

I’m going on record not as a Democrat or a Republican, because I’m neither and detest some people on either side, but rather as a person who’s totally dissatisfied with The Way Things Are. If you’re one of those people, and haven’t registered yet, please, I’m begging you, REGISTER AND FUCKING VOTE. There’s still time. The earliest registration deadlines in the country hit on Saturday, so you’ve got at least one full day in which to do this. There is no excuse whatsoever for being lax about this. Things are really fucked up here, and for things to have even a chance of getting better, things need to change.

I’m not expecting miracles, but if you do register because you read this, or if you do get out there and vote on November 2nd because you read this, please tell me in the comments here. It’d mean a lot to me to know that I’m not talking to a wall…that the things I’ve said have made some impact.
