Strange dreams I have…

As the dream ended (since what happened before this is vague), I was driving in a seashore/boardwalk area that looked in parts like Sandy Hook, NJ (which doesn’t have a boardwalk) during a snowstorm. Because the roads were slippery, it took me 3 or 4 tries to get into the parking lot I wanted to go into. Finally, I did, and I went into this little store that appeared to be a video game store. There were some interesting looking games in their display cases (nothing I can remember), but what was memorable was the music they had on in the store. It was some sort of Cure bootleg, featuring them doing covers. I forget what the first song they covered was, but the second was “This Bud’s For You” from the Budweiser commercials, and the third was a “Love Cats”-esque rendition of Gang Of Four’s “I Like A Man In Uniform”, all bouncy and happy.
I need to get out more. I also need this Cure bootleg. I wonder if their “Stairway To Heaven”* cover was on it.
*For a few years now, I’ve thought that “Stairway” would sound fantastic if covered in a “Wish”-era Cure style. Think “From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea”, which in a way WAS their “Stairway”, and you’re halfway there. I don’t think it’s ever happened, but it should.
