Yup. And that is why that we, as parents, need to be involved in our children's lives. This has got to stop. So tragic, so preventable. I can't even imagine. My child is my world, and if he were taken from me, you'd have to come visit me in either prison or a mental institution.

Mike, as you can probably see, I wrote this review 8 years ago. It's become more or less comical at this point that this little, negative review still gets a ton of readers, and that I still have people who stop by and leave Steve Marque stories here. Here's hopin' that it makes an honest man out of 'em someday.

How's Jacksonville these days? Give Freebird and The Gold Club (if it's still there) a hug for me.

My name is Mike Jones. I am the guitarist and songwriter for a group called 15/15 in Jacksonville Flordia. My drummer Chris Cook and I were convinced to do a side project with Steven M. and when the studio engineer called me to tell me Steven had pulled all of the digital recordings and THOUGHT he had the only copies, then disappeared, I looked at his myspace page to find that he had taken songs that I had written and recorded with Chris including guitars, drums, bass, and vocals, and had put them on his website as his own material without any mention of Chris Cook, or myself. You can see an article about it from Jacksonville's Folio Weekly back in the 10/12/04 issue, and a self inflated interview w/steven in the preceeding issue. Just wanted to add that. He is a dick, and a thief. Not to mention, a liar. Keep rolling your "R"s steven! It's gay. If you find recordings called (by Steven) When in Rome, that's mine, although it sucks now after Jackal and Hyde digitally castrated it.

Sounds like a plan. Facebook's easier because if you "have" to keep someone friended (a trend that will be dying in flames soon, and one that never should've started in the first place, damn you, Brad Fitz!), you can just hide their stupidity and, if they try to spread it to your personal space, then you can let the hammer of fuck rain down on them. Twitter, ugly little thing that it is, you can't hide people on.

It's a tough dynamic. There are some people I like and care about who say and do some really dumb things on the Internet (and offline, too), and while I have no interest in seeing them do so or subjecting the people invited into my personal space online to their shenanigans, "I like you, but I'd rather not see what you do on the Internet" offends people. It shouldn't, though. If you're not interested in polka or knitting or farming video games or far-right politics offline, it's considered rude if people try to force those things on you, but online, you're the bad guy if you set limits and stick to them.
